Shotgun Congress

Good Afternoon,

I don't know what to do. One minute I'm freezing cold, the next I feel like Satan himself is breathing down my neck. I can sleep alright during the day, but once the light goes out... forget about it. My throat, at times, feels crusted and dry almost like a giant internal scab. And this is the best I've felt in four days. I think I have the swine flu.

I went to the doctor. The nurses insisted on constantly joking. My fever was 103.5. Isn't that hilarious? Then the bitch scraped by aching throat with a giant Q-tip, no strep. She came back. Still joking as she shoved a sponge tipped stick up both of my notsrils, no flu. The doctor came in and shrugged her shoulders... I left with no answers and perscriptions for pills that treat strep and influenza. They reassured me that it was necessary because there is a huge percentage of false negatives involved with their tests. Did i mention I missed work again? I'm out of vacation days so, as I sit here suffering on this day, I go unpaid. Sweet!
